Thermoforming however creates a stable silky smooth finish on both sides of the mould, which may contain the brand logo embossed. By engineering the cushioning profile, this material gives even greater shock proofing than other methods yet is aesthetically acceptable for a wide range of products. It nests and stacks so uses less storage and transport space.

This process is used to custom make precision cushion / protective inserts for the product and its distribution chain.
