NATURAL FIBRE is cellulose or more simply, raw wood pulp fibres, which are obtained either from pulp mills or recycling used paper such as newsprint, or a combination of both.

PULPING

The pulp is broken down into individual fibres by agitation in a water bath, at a ratio of 99% water to 1% fibre.

The mixture is then drawn onto fine mesh covered moulds by vacuum as the water is simultaneously extracted. This leaves a thin layer of pulp adhering to the mould.

The moulded fibre is deposited onto a conveyer through a drying oven to remove all the water.
